Same series, and we move to the next game (nr. 5). With Roger Clemens out of the way, and Mike Witt mowing down the Red Sox, the Angels are poised for their first World Series appearance ever. The television cameras pick up the set-up of the champagne bottles in the Angels clubhouse, as California carries a big lead into the ninth inning. But before anybody uncorked any champagne that night, the game turned into one of the great playoff battles of all time.
