Game 6

This time, Toronto was not to be denied in the ALCS, beating Oakland 4 games to two. Atlanta, on the other hand, needed one of the great comebacks in LCS history, when they defeated the Phillies in the seventh game, after being down 2-0 going into the ninth inning. Atlanta came into the World Series strengthened by the bat of Deion Sanders, who batted an amazing .533 in that Series, and Otis Nixon, who chipped in with 8 hits of his own. Toronto's line-up included such heavy-weights as Joe Carter, Devon White, John Olerud, and Roberto Alomar. Leading the pitching staff was 1991-WS-hero Jack Morris, and such notables as David Cone, Juan Guzman, and Jimmy Key. As in 1991, most games of the 1992 World Series were decided by one run, including the final sixth game presented here.
