Game 6

In the NLCS, Atlanta was denied a third consecutive trip to the World Series by the Phillies, led by Lenny Dykstra. Toronto had lost Jack Morris and David Cone from its pitching staff, but that didn't prevent it from breezing past the White Sox in the ALCS. With Paul Molitor and Tony Fernandez added to the line-up, they seemed to outclass the no-name Phillies. But the Phillies went on to carry leads into the late innings in 5 of the six games played. As it turned out, they were one good relief pitcher away from going all the way, and the name "Mitch Williams" will forever be the most remembered name of the 1993 World Series. His futile effort in game 4 made it one of the most memorable games in history. And so, in game six, presented here, he had a chance to make good.
